I've have been kicking something around for a while, still undecided. I'm still not sure I want to lift or level(or even do anything). Right now I am leaning towards 6112 upfront and leaving at that. I tried getting a pic of the truck on level ground. To my eyes, the truck is just about level now (the cap took the ass down a bit). Depending on the setting, will the 6112's do anything? It looks like it wouldn't take much to bring the front up to level and it looks like I could easily go the other way and bring the front up higher. Thanks.IMG_6452.jpg . I'm in no rush and still undecided (still a complete noob to this too).

Looks like you still have some rake even with the shell weight. Take your time if your not sure. It's easy to get sucked into changing things quickly. Would you be going for just looks, function, or both? I personally like trucks with some rake better. Especially if you use the bed for what it's for. The Tundra can squat pretty easily. A leveled PRO model with not much weight in the back squats. It's a personal thing but I can't stand that look.

Other than the tires these trucks are pretty capable stock off road. Yes you can make them better for sure. But, I have a friend who instructs at overland, Navy Seals and many other military branches. You should see what he can do in a stock Tundra, 4R, etc. Much more than most in heavily modified vehicles. All comes down to need, want, and weather you want to go there. For my needs and wants a 2" front with 1-3/4 rear with 275 70 18 KO2's works well.

Looks pretty good as is, unless you plan on taller tires.

6112 won't be a very noticeable difference in ride quality on street, offroad yes.

    6112 has 3 settings: 0.75, 1.9, 2.5"
Put it on 1st setting and it'll be more level as I see greater space in the rear wheel well right now BUT it'll sag if you haul, personally I prefer a bit of unloaded rake.
Put it on 2nd setting and get Toytec rear shackles at 1.5" will be 0.4" gain between front and back. Overall height will increase, different stance allowing bigger tires but a hit on mpg with any combo of heavier wheels/tires. Shackles with new greased poly bushings do improve street ride, so does a rear sway bar which reduces body roll if that's what you're after.

Ultimately I'm looking for taller tires. Realistically, it's looks not function. The off roading that I do, I know that the stock truck is more than capable.

    Thanks for the replies.

The 6112 has 4 settings, I will be installing them at 1.3" next month, my rake currently sits at about 2.125" stock. I'm hoping for a better ride as the stock black Tockico shocks are shot. When I replaced the rears with 5100s the stock shocks had no rebound and I think one or both of the front are shot too at 82000 miles. Stepping up tire size to 275/60r20 Cooper AT3 4S. If you read a lot on here a lot of people go with the 1.9" setting which is similar to where the TRD Pro sits. I am always hauling stuff in the bed of the truck and don't want a single bag of concrete to give my truck the bro lean.

It also seams that the doublecabs and crewmaxs sit a little different. Get it on as level ground as possible but measure from a fixed point on each rim to the fender to find what your rake is.

You can run 275 70 18 without a lift. You may have to trim or bend up the rear corners of the skid but thats it. There is a thread on here about stock trucks with that size tire.

Personally, I think the DC looks best with a little rake. I went 1.9 setting on 6112s and +3 CB with 5160s in the back. So far loving how it sits and how it rides. I tried bigger tires, then went back to the 275/70. I actually think they look great and I dont have to worry about rub.
