    2.5" leveling Kit
I have a 2011 Tundra Crew Max with a 2.5" front leveling kit (see picture). I'm shopping new tires for my 18x9 rims and wondering how large I can/should go. I currently have 265/70/R18s.

One tire shop recommended that anything smaller than 295/70R18 would not be a big enough change. Another shop suggests that I'll have too much rubbing with that much tire.

Anyone have any personal experience equipping a 2011 Tundra Crew Max with leveling kit with a new set of tires? If so:

    What size?
    Any rubbing?
    Was trimming required?
    Any pictures would be helpful.

    Thanks.

Offset is gonna be crucial. If you stick with 30 mm or 35 mm offset, you should be able to fit 295/70/18 with 2.5. I barely got 295/70/18 on my truck with 3 & 1/2 inch lift (I have 18 mm offset wheels). If you go with a lower offset, more rubbing you are going to get.

What wheels are you going to be running, and what is the offset? I have an 08 with a 2" spacer and running 275/70/18 with 18x8.5 wheels, with a +25mm offset. I did have to remove the rear, front mud flaps due to some rubbing, but it wasn't a big deal. I actually came from running the 265/70/18 on my truck stock, and went with the 275/70/18 on the leveling kit. The tires are definitely a little more noticeable. That being said, you will definitely notice going to a 295 haha. Also, what tires are you looking at running?

Here are some pictures if it helps. The first one is my truck stock suspension and 265/70/18. 2nd is 2" spacer with 275/70/18. 3rd is same lift and tire size, but with new rims. My truck has settled some I think, so I don't think I could get 295's on it right now without some rubbing.

Great feedback guys. and thanks for the pics. Current rims are 18x9, have been considering going to an 18x9 Fuels (Maverick or Krank) with +18 offset. As far as tires, I've been looking at either the Nitto Ridge Grapplers or the Open Range from Les Schwab.

Sounds like based on your feedback I'd be hard pressed to get 295s in there with a Readylift leveling kit. I've considered 275/70, but feel like that is a lot of money for just a little bit more tire.

I just fit 295/70/18 on 18x9 +25 offset with stock suspension. Had to remove the front mud flap and the very front aero dam thing. Very little rubbing on driver side. All clear on passenger side.

I’m on 295/70/18 ridge grapplers with 0 offset. 3/1 level. It rubs on full lock on the inside front fender

Really helpful. Love the pics. Amazing the difference wheels/tires make.

The 295's look killer, but at this point I'm leaning towards 275/70/18 for a handful of reasons...size, weight, no need to make mods, MPG, cost. The rims I like come in either +20 or +1 offsets. Any recommendations there?

Thanks everyone for the input. Just ordered 18x9 rims with +20 offset and 275/70/R18 tires. Will post a pick when the are on the truck.

Looks great, boomMaker! I'm also contemplating the leveling kit myself. Currently running NITTO Ridge Grapplers 285 65 18

What tires did you get? Most tire manufacturers, when I was looking, only recommended 7-8.5" rims for 275/70R18 tires. I didn't find any that has 9" rims in their spec.

I have Cooper STT pros on a 3” level and they rubbed quite a bit but they have very aggressive lugs. Had to remove mud flap and push front fender in. I also had to do a BMC but may not have had to... Toytec/Eibach sent me a defective coil over which only gave me an inch and some change of lift so had to switch from Eibach coil overs to fat bobs

Tires on the truck look great. Also glad I found this thread; have been mulling over tire size for a while now.

If you don’t mind me asking; What’s your top of wheel to fender measure?

I’m running 295/70R18 Ridge Grapplers on 3” of lift in front. I’m running 18x9 wheels with +12 offset, and removed the front and rear mud flaps off of the front wheel wells, and only have slight rubbing on the front bumper because I haven’t adjusted one side to a full 3” yet. It’s about 1/5 to 1/4” lower due to Yota lean and the coils being set slightly lower from the manufacturer. The side that’s set at 3” has no rubbing at all. I’d think if you got aftermarket wheels with less offset, or ran spacers on stock wheels, you’d be sitting pretty man.
