I went out to mono lake area last weekend to hit a trail that was easy, but didn’t realize that it was going to be such a tight squeeze half the time and pinstriped it all over the place. Since I had Monday off and it was overcast all day I was actually able to fully detail my truck. Used my biggest Rupes and polished the entire truck and then jet
    Sealed it. Before141322F6-96E4-4CC5-B28F-F99C906C31A1.jpg3C29F049-1244-497E-B70E-6ACC03C8B5F8.jpg9D487920-0A0D-434D-B58B-516773F37374.jpg

Thanks. I’ve been wanting to polish her up since I got the DAs, but it’s either sunny or foggy when I have the time to do it. I actually completed it in 7 hours. I used that nanoskin wash mitt you recommended a while ago. Great product. As per usual your recommendations helped me out to get it done faster. Ran out of bead maker so making another order.

I used the Rupes keramilk polish with the rupes yellow foam pad. Then used the rupes white foam pad to apply jetseal and wiped it off and that’s it. I ran out of bead maker which I would normally use after the 12 hours the jetseal takes to fully cure. I’ll apply it on the next wash.

I would normally use the rupes diamond polish with the rupes white foam pad to finish it off before the jetseal as well but ran out of time. Basically a quick pass since the keramilk did the bulk of the work. I did that on my wife’s 2011 IS350 and that looked way better than new. I’ve posted it before.

Thanks. I actually went a little nuts on the car cause it was the first time polishing and truly detailing it. After the polishing and jetseal I waxed it then 2 coats of bead maker. If I had a garage tall enough for the truck I would have done the same thing.

My truck doesn't fit in my garage either. I'd be working it in the driveway :( all is good tho. Probably gonna order a polisher here soon to step my game up and bring my shine to the next level

Cleaned the truck this weekend, refresh with the Adam's ceramic that had left over, semi just ran over a paint can next to me, now half the damn truck is white primer. Was on way to dealership for inspection, so the rushed it into detail to hopefully get all the paint off,.FML kinda of day

I always wanted that color, but when I bought my pro there wasn’t that color anywhere in a DC. Didn’t care if it was a pro or not. I feel like it’s an under appreciated color. Show the finished product when done.

After an insightful and invigorating talk with my buddy and detailing mentor, I decided to go simple, back to my roots if you will.
Sometimes simple is better and I forgot that. So i did a rinseless wash with a bucket of warm water, some ech2o, and about a dozen MF towels. Truck came out looking great and it was quick. The griots pfm drying towel definitely help speed things along when it comes to drying. Thanks Steve.

    Looks great as always Sean.

I also did some basic work today, nothing fancy, but good results. The Sequoia didn’t have any heavy dirt or mud on it, but was still looking dirty. We’re going to a dinner tonight so I want her looking good.

I mixed up some Ech20 at waterless wash dilution ratio, and did the whole thing with that. Even did the wheels and tires. (Definitely not a very effective way to clean tires, but they weren’t too bad. The Optimum Coating also helps keep stuff from getting too deep.) Followed up with some Shine Supply Decked Out to make the tires shine.

I also tried something new. @SouthBoundSteve you’d asked about Punch It a while back, so I’d been thinking about experimenting with it again. I used it on the wheels, just out of curiosity. I don’t know how well it will hold up on them, but it really did put a nice shine on them for the time being. Hard to tell from pics as usual, but it really seemed to make them pop.

Also, the sparkle in the Blizzard Pearl seems to really be standing out. Maybe the work I did a few weeks ago was more effective than I thought.

Almost forgot: She had a ton of bugs on the front from a long drive yesterday. Shine Supply Bug Off took them off like a champ.
