Exhaust system for 2019 Tundra 4x4 Sport

This is a very serious question this is life or death..... LOL j/k
Well I'm debating if I should go dual exhaust or stick with single exhaust since my Tundra originally have a stock single exhuast.

What do you guys think of the Carven catback kit exhaust system?

 

What is your goal here?

Stick with single outlet. JMHO. Duals work best with long tube headers. These trucks tend to lose a little torque down low with duals unless paired with long tubes. Although the loss is very minimal. But the single flows plenty for a stock engine. @dirtydeeds has done the research. If you’re looking for an exhaust specifically tuned to the Tundra, he’s your man.

There are a few guys with the carven around here. They can give you some insight on their experience with that muffler. In the end all the mufflers are subjective sound wise to each person. I personally don’t mind a little drone but some people just can’t stand it. I’ve even heard of some that say the stock exhaust has ridiculous amount of drone, which I never experienced. There are a lot of guys who pieced together their systems and are completely happy. And some have tried every muffler and ended up with a bamuffler from dirty deeds. He’s got multiple options and will even personally take your phone call to find out what best will suit you.

I was watching the installation video for the dirtydeeds exhaust system and I saw that they have to cut a hole on the exhaust. Do you really have to cut a hole?

 

Only if you want to install the resonator

Or

Ask @dirtydeeds if he can weld on a resonator for your system

Leave it off

Wait are talking the exhaust well to gain a little HP maybe but I do love the grumbling sound.

 

Best of luck with both goals, I can't help you with your first one but I think dirty deeds can help you with the exhaust side. Just keep your original cat-back around until you are sure you can live with the aftermarket cat-back. Good luck.

Here’s where I draw a line in the sand:

If running stock exhaust manifolds, you want single exhaust.

If running long tube headers, you want dual exhaust.

There’s a right way and a wrong way to do any of the above. I’ve built literally thousands of exhausts for tundras. I’ll help guide anybody thru whom wants the help.
