Hello - i just posted this in the New Member forum, but was hoping for some input on the below add-ons:

Hi. Finally pulled the trigger on a white 2015 DC. I have a long list of things that i'd like to do, including 5100s/shackles and 295/70/18 bfg ko2s (coming out soon!), but since this truck came with the wheels i like and brand new tires, that'll likely be a few years down the road.

    First on the list is:
*All weather floor mats - brands? I have the front bench seat and it seems that Husky is the only brand that offers protection for that.
*New step bars - i like the black stainless Westin HDX nerf bars with drop steps
*Hard folding bed cover - extang?
*35% front window tint -pre-cut online ok? some better than others?
*spray in bedliner - rhino vs. linex?
*remote start - i've seen good reviews on the Evo? Worth trying to install myself?

If anybody has any experience with any of the above, please dont hesitate. Thanks!

Husky are just as good as weathertech
I have weathertech but they didnt sell husky in my area and I wanted the right away

No idea but i am changing mine out in the next years for sliders.

*Hard folding bed cover - extang?
I have a trifold extang and I fucking hate it. It says solid but it is cheap foam and had to do a warranty call on it due to the installer over tightening the clamps.
When I asked them the toque specs they said there was no toque specs. Just on contact to turn another 1.5 to 2 turns.
*35% front window tint -pre-cut online ok? some better than others?
I would get it done, the cost of precut compared to having it installed is small

*spray in bedliner - rhino vs. linex?
I have the bedliner that came with my truck which is plastic.
I may change that but not in the next couple years

*remote start - i've seen good reviews on the Evo? Worth trying to install myself?
I over paid for the best Compustar I coukld get and dont use half the shit it came with.
But I bought a Tundra pro and only off roading I do is in my gravel driveway

    Nice truck btw.
I like the slower white color but wanted more speed and HP so I went with black

-I replaced my Weathertechs with Husky. Husky is better quality IMO.
-I have the NFab rock sliders with removable steps and I love them. Install was easy and very solid.
-I have the trifold Extang and it sucks. Heavy, dents easily, and doesn't seal out water.
    - I have the Linex spray liner and it's great. My old 76 FJ-40 had Rhino liner, I think the Linex is better and more uniform.
Hope this helps. Your truck looks great btw. Good luck on your mod decisions!

Nice truck. I bought 35% window tint off eBay and it worked perfectly!

TRD Brakes. Headlight Revolution LED. TRD rear Torsion Bar. Dirty Deeds 10 inch Stainless. TRD Pro Grill. Bushwhacker Pocket Flares. Baja Designs Combo Driving/Fog lights.
For tonneau cover I have the Bak Rollover X4. Absolutely love it. Thick top with all aluminum scaffold across the entire surface. Fits right into your rail system and allows continued usage, though you will lose an inch width. Sits flush with the edge of the bed. No leaks, easy to use, lays low and looks great. One of my best mod choices. They also make a similar trifold, but I want visibility.
The best part is if you call truck alterations (Keith or Kevin, I think? the owner is in the store) he will call you, even after hours and heavily discount it shipped to you door. I paid mid $700’s. Others were not even close.

I would recommend to have your windows tinted professionally. Mine had costed about $80 for the front 2...comes with a 10yr warranty. Wife's car we had done 12yrs ago and the tint is still great.

Bed covers...I have a tri fold and do not like it. When it is folded up for hauling, I do not like how it looks like a wind breaker.. I have removed it for hauling, and the seal is not perfect. It keeps most water out, but not all. I would look into getting a hard roll-up cover, depending on what you haul.

I have floor mats from Amazon...can not remember the brand, but they are husky wannabes...they do not have the spikes on the bottom to grab the carpet and hold in place. The passenger side slides around when you put any pressure...and they are form fit for the tundra. Which ever brand you get make sure they do not have a smooth bottom.
