I have seen a couple of post on brush guards but have not heard any feedback about the interference with the TSS system. The sensors are in the emblem and I want to put one on my 2019 but before I do has anybody installed one with this system in place? I do not want to move it. Toyota says NO... Got to be somebody that has done this. Appreciate any feedback on this.

    Welcome from NY.
I think if it doesn't block the sensor (some have mesh on the brush guards) and sits lower than the sensor you should be okay.

Maybe someone who did this already will chime in.

Worst case scenario, relocate the sensor...best of all worlds

I have this bull bar on mine and it does not interfere with the radar.
I’m pretty sure I’ve seen pictures of others with full brush guards as well.

Brush guards are good for pushing brush and stopping shopping carts, if you need one for any real use get a bumper

Someone on here did, forgot who, they cut a section out on the screen mesh, I have one, but I'm pre TSS, so I'm good to go

Thank y'all for your replies. I was looking at a ranch hand with the mesh removed from the center. Not worried about the cruise control radar, I just use the regular cruise. More worried about the crash sensor than anything. I do not like little orange lights coming on. :frusty:. I want bigger side bars.

Hold the Line! If you are not holding the line, abandon your ship. Destruction is inevitable without more to hold the line!
Does anyone know where the frontal crash sensors are at on the 2nd generation Tundra? I have often thought about this, and think i should relocate them, since my Ranchand is blocking the whole thing.

We don't have pre collision sensors like the OP is referring to on the 18+ models.
Our's would have an inertia sensor(s). Typically they are mounted on the frame right in front or behind the core support. They are normally ran with a yellow wiring loom.

I installed my ranch hand around 8,000 and I’m up to 26,000 no issues with the sensor. The millimeter wave radar has a 5 degree vertical and 20 degree horizontal beam. I didn’t want to take a chance with the mesh so I cut it out, some are saying they are not having a problem. I don’t know how true that is but I didn’t want the headache.
