Looking to put Bilstein adjustable shocks on the front of my 2018 SR 2wd. Has anyone done this and is it as hard to do as it appears? Not sure if I want to tackle it in the driveway.

I just did preassembled 6112 coilovers. More expensive but did not want to deal with spring compressors. You could take the whole coilover out and take to someone to put the 5100s in. I got lucky and sold the OEMs complete. Not bad with the tools.

If you are talking about doing the 5100s, then you have to compress the stock spring and put it on the Bilsteins. That will require you to rent a sprint compressor and that can always be squirrely. I'd just pay the $200-300 to have someone do it for you to be honest. Maybe they can cut you a deal on alignment as well (because you'll need one).

What about spacers? Easier to put in? Good or bad idea? Used them on my 2013 GMC Sierra and they seemed to work ok.
