Hd weather/traffic questions

Hey guys new to the forum, I just picked up a 2019 sr5 with the trd sport package and the entune “plus” radio(non integrated maps/app suite) and can’t seem to find concrete answers on this, I have hd radio in my area(Binghamton ny. Hour south of Syracuse about 3 north west of nyc) but when I click on the weather or traffic it says hd signal not available. A call to Toyota says it’s only available in nyc apparently, but, when going on to see my family on Easter, my girlfriend tapped it for giggles and it worked perfectly(in a smaller city between Binghamton and Syracuse)

I’ve seen online a link to coverage maps that Toyota used in the past, and it shows my area should be covered, and I’ve also seen that there’s a way(that I cannot find) to allow the weather and traffic to update via my iPhone. Granted his info was 3-4yrs old I’m presuming it is still somewhat valid.

I’m hoping someone may be able to shed light on it, I’ve read the entune setup is kinda crappy, but, until I decide if I’m gonna keep it when the lease is up or not, changing the radio out isn’t an option

 

Watching this thread. My radio use to update all the time (17 CM) but suddenly stopped working. Now I get an annoying "Weather Data Updating" message, but get no successess.
I hope we can figure this out.
