Hey, everyone! I just purchased a 2014 CrewMax 1794 Edition (I'll post pics later) and forgot to ask about keys before the sale. It only came with 1 master and no fobs. The fobs are reasonable so I'm going to get a couple and instead of buying the Techstream cable, I wanted to find out if anyone in the Greensboro, NC area might already have it and be willing to help a brother out by assisting with programming. It will save me a few bucks and give me the opportunity to meet a fellow Tundra driver.

The only way is the dealer or a locksmith who specializes in automotive chipped key programming.
    Been there,done that!

10-4. I hope he finds one willing to help pro-bono. My set was about $150.

Ditto. When I bought my 2nd 2018 a few weeks back, they lost 1 of the keys (integrated fob), before I walked out they made me an appt with the service department to bring the truck in to have another made. I guess all dealers are wildly different as Ive had nothing but good experiences with mine.

My truck is used and only came with one set of keys. For $20 I ordered a key with fob from ebay. The parts department at my dealer cuts them for free for me assuming I'm going to service to have them programmed. I just go out to the truck and 5 minutes later with techstream and I'm good to go.

Thanks for all of the replies and apologies for taking so long to reply. I found a local mobile locksmith that will meet me to cut a key and program 2 fobs for $100 so I'm going to take him up on it. I like to support local small businesses and I thought the price was pretty reasonable.

Yes , just have a specialist make you a new set and do the programming, its worth it. I think mine was well over $100, so that seems about right
