So my buddy traded me some 20x12s on 35s and I’m on a 3in leveling kit and I’m gonna put 33s on possibly streets cause I won’t rub but what do I have to trim so I won’t rub as bad FYI I’m not worried about the bumper cause that’s an easy trim

I'm guessing you will have to trim the pinch weld. I might be mistaken, but 12's are awfully wide for our truck. Frame rub might be an issue, however I don't know the offset and such of these new wheels, so it might not be a huge issue.

There was a thread here on the forum that gave great info about trimming that pinch weld. If I can find it I will put it in here for you.

Best advice I can give other than the above, put the wheels on and see what happens. Then trim accordingly, and take your time while trimming.

This is a decent photo of a pinch weld being trimmed.

You can tell the individual who did this drilled a hole just below the bolt in the pinch weld. That is what you will want to do as well because a sharp line just from cutting creates a potential weak point, whereas the radius of the drilled hole is normally stronger.

I have also heard of some doing similar to above, however they drill a hole in the same place and then cut a line to the hole. Afterwards they will just bend/hammer down the excess metal instead of completely cutting it off.

You will have to do some test fitting to get the amount of trimming you need. When test fitting try to turn the wheel to full lock both directions. Also do this in forward and reverse just to test. Doesn't need to be fast at all, just food for thought!

Best of luck! Throw up some pics when you get those massive wheels mounted, I'd love to see them!
