looking at an 2006 Regular Cab tundra V6 with 200K miles. Look super clean in pictures but doesn't look as good in person. Body panels are in good shape but has been repainted and has some tips on some body panels with exposed metal rusting slightly. Also has a third gear grind. Frame looks strong but the paint on it looks faded and silver color with some mild surface rust on the axle and trailer hitch. Seller wants $5200. What would be a good offer for a high mile work truck with A.R.E camper shell?

December 2018, I bought a 2003 Regular Cab SR5 V8 4x4 with 138K miles for $4k. I don't know if I got a good deal, but all the truck needed was a timing belt. Including the timing belt and some other minor things, I'm into the truck for less than $5200. I would say a V6, even with the newer transmission, isn't worth that much. That said, many things have influence for price - location, condition, maintenance history, etc.

The V6 in the truck in question would be a 1GR.
Very comparable in power to the 2UZ.

I don't thing that would hurt resale value much if any compared to the same truck with the V8.

Yeah, I really like the white 05-06 Work truck models. Problem is the regular Cabs especially in white are used for work and get beat on a lot. I just found an 05 Regular Cab 6MT asking $6200. It don't have to be like new, just decent and not showing obvious signs of abuse and neglect.
