Hi Everyone, new here. Bought a Super White '17 Crewmax from the local Subaru dealer a few months ago. This site has been great for info, so I decided to sign up. I recently just upgraded my audio and I'm guessing that in putting all four dour panels back on I may have forgotten to put the white and green cable housing in their keepers on this door. Anyway, the door has apparently locked electronically but now both the interior door handle and lock button seem to not be connected to anything. I've tried to remove the window switch and fish around, but my hands are too big and the gap is really small. Maybe there is something I'm not thinking of. Ideas? Has this happened to anyone else?

    Thanks for any help!

Remove the interior door handle and pull the cable by hand? (this is assuming the latch is operated by a cable and not electronics.)

There was a post on here about 6 months ago of someone who did the same thing. If you search for it I think he figured out a way to get it open.

When I made a dumbass mistake changing my door latch, child proof set and f'd up the outer handle latch, I just went to a locksmith. $160, but still cheaper than the price of OEM latches.

Thanks guys! timsp8, I did a search and found nothing. Scuba, the only thing that's exposed by the interior door handle cover is access to a screw. I took that screw out so I could tug on the armrest to get a little more opening to go through the window switch opening to find the cable end. I was fully prepared to spend my morning trying to fish a wire coat hanger with a hook fashioned on the end through the window switch opening and try and pull the cable down, but.......I ran out to get the kids bagels for breakfast and tried to go through the offending door, even though it hadn't opened in dozens of other tries, and voila, it opened. I don't know what makes it open this time, because sure enough, when I pulled the panel, I hadn't reinstalled the cables on that door. They say 2 out of 3 ain't bad, but in replacing door panels correctly 3 out of 4 stinks.

Sorry you didn't have the same luck I did JMB!
