So over the weekend I decided to splurge and treat myself to a set of new wheels with a bonus from work. I settled on some 18x9 Gramlight trans-x in a 0 offset, I am currently running 20x9 with a +18 offset on 305/60/20, I am leveled and rub at full turn in reverse. I would like to keep 305 but with my new offset I'm not sure it will be doable without doing a BMC unfortunately and I don't think im ballsy enough to start hacking away at my beloved truck just yet that being said I have been scouring the forums for pictures of 0 offset 18s and not really found a lot of people running anything over 285 without crazy modification so im assuming that is the max width you can comfortably run.

does anyone have anymore pictures of an 18 with 0 offset? if so id love to know the setup

I think I've settled on 285/75/18 wind peaks , but I am curious to have some feedback on tire sizes I like the aggressive stance of 305 but I don't think im ready to chop just yet...

wheels come in Friday so I have a few days to decide, all opinions welcome. thanks everyone in advanceimage.jpg

In all honesty, doing a bmc isn't difficult. Just take a bit off at a time using an angle grinder and paint the exposed metal. I had never used an angle grinder before and mine looks great. I'm going to get plates welded on eventually but it's not bothering anything so it's low priority.

how long have you been running a bmc uncapped? does it affect anything at all? figured it would add a little rigidity but if its just cosmetic I could live without a cap...

I've been running like this since April. No noticeable ride handling difference. The main concern is rust so painting is critical.

Anyone think 305 will be an issue with 0 offset?

I don't think a 305 would work with that offset. Look on customoffsets.com. Here is my 285/70/18 on a +1 offset.

Thanks for the info, love your stance going for something similar, any chopping done to fit?

It looks to me like you're currently running 305/55/20 instead of 305/60/20, so a 33.4" - 33.5" tire. You probably wouldn't rub with more positive caster. An equivalent tire size in an 18 is a 305/65/18, but I prefer the look of a 295/70/18 which is a 33.9" tire.

BTW, love the Trans X wheel. The bronze would look sick on your quicksand. Unfortunately, I think either tire choice will rub with your 0 offset wheels. Maybe you can get by with a bumper spacer and pushing in the plastic instead of a BMC, but I'm sure it is close either way.

No chopping at all. The tires are Nitto Ridge Grapplers.

You will most likely need a cmc with 285/75’s in a 0 offset. Just get it done, it’s not a big deal.

I love those wheels. Those are some of the best looking wheels I have seen. I bet they were expensive. It is nice to treat yourself to new wheels (doing the same myself) as it keeps me from buying a new truck hopefully.

That looks freaking awesome. Even the backspacing worked out well. Love wheels without center caps too (race looking).

    Thank you

I actually have the center caps on order but I think they are coming on the slow boat from Japan. Also, If I didn’t add the flares I think 0 offset would have been too aggressive

Those wheels are not easy to find. Can they be purchased with more backspacing for a Tundra? I love them. I would run them without center caps, but I would paint the rusted truck parts black. Where did you buy those wheels? I don't have flairs or a lifted truck so I would prefer more backspacing for my truck.

I got them through evasive Motorsports but they are also available a few other places like showstopperusa and vividracing they are also available in a +25 offset. Bronze is also available
