Grill Swap Question

I know there is a thread on this, but can't seem to find it. A fellow Tundra owner is getting rid of his old grill (pic on the dark grey truck). I believe the thread that I read said almost all grills from the same generation are interchangeable. I have the grill in the other pic. Mostly looking to swap out the insert. Could someone advise if this is doable and the difficulty level of switching these out? Or, if someone could post that thread, I will read back through it. Basically taking off a 2014 Crewmax SR5 to a 2016 DC SR5. Thanks in advance.
