I wish I could help with that! My ECU isn't stock though, so I don't know how much good it would do you.

 

You may have mentioned it before and I'm not remembering, but are you saying that your truck has a DAP tune on it? If so, you'd just reflash back to stock, then I would imagine that you'd be good. Then again, maybe that wouldn't even matter. OV would have to let you know.

I wouldn't mind having the handheld tuner already got the flash kit so I'm not sure where I'd go from here. Just waiting for the tune file when you send them out. Also was planing on dynoing before and after so if it helps you out I'm willing.

 

He said it doesn't matter. I have no way to flash back to stock anyway. I did mine in person.

A quick update on my previous review...2011 5.7FFV SC running OVTune first revision for a little over a month now. Just back from a 2K mile round trip out to the black hills across the rolling plains and hills of Iowa, Minn and South Dakoda. Plenty of power to tow in 5th gear while running in Tow/haul mode and maintain 60-65mph getting just short of 8mpg. This while towing 10K(32" toyhauler with 3 motorcycles inside). Ive made this trip before with the BD tune running around the same speed and load and the truck needed 4th gear to stay in the power a few times getting closer to 7mpg. Happy, happy, happy On a side note...third revision file received today and a few more logs to do for Matt...Its only getting better

Tune received.....got the dll late last week took less than 5 business days for me.

 

Tune applied. Will log data tomorrow. Took quick trip around the block and feels smoother. I was running performance shift on the Magnuson tune though.

 

i want to try this out on my TRD S/C 2008 Sequoia, i think the BD GT gas isn't really helping me...(93octane tune currently) i do have have the URD underdrive pulley and i feel like this Tree is just a tad slower than it should be.

I'm still here in the black hills, doing the Sturgis rally. I towed 2 bikes in a double axle enclosed.. about 6k lbs. I could pull 6 in several places but the transmission would heat up too much. But was able to hold 5 the whole trip from az, nm, co, wy, and sd. We will be headed home a different direction via ut. I'll give more info when. I get home. I, too, have a tune waiting for me to load.

 

I realize that this probably won't go over real well, but there are no ETAs....on anything. Thanks.

 

And if you do have a 2019 model... It's going to be ok! You still have that new truck smell to comfort you while you wait!

So which one of you guys, that don't have a supercharger, will be the first to test your truck with e85? Still not sure I can make myself do it. But im pretty curious how it will work with the OV programming.

 

I emailed him about this and haven’t heard back yet.

 

About what? Using e85? The only info ive found is in his blog post.
