Just wondering, do service departments at the dealership have any issues with or frown on vehicles with aftermarket parts?

e.g., suspension, brakes, performance parts, etc.

    Thanks in advance

TSS only I think if you raise it.

Some dealers will do the recall and some wont

Was only planning to level, or nothing more than a few inches of lift.

Just asking as I've always brought the truck in to the dealer for all maintenance/service. Thought they may have issues working on non-Toyota parts, since it may not be standard setup that they're used to working on. Or maybe such parts could require different maintenance.

I have the front end leveled and added larger tires. My local dealer did the recall, but made me sign some acknowledgment that it can have negative affect with TSS and that they would return the truck to me with TSS turned off. I just had to turn it back on when I got it back. TSS seems to still work fine for me.

The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act provides protection in many cases with aftermarket goodies.

My dealer doesn't seem to care. Hell they compliment my truck if i bring it in for oil changes. They did my recalls too and i'm lifted 3/1.5
If my truck were to need maintenace anything over oil changes or factory recalls, it wouldnt be going to a dealer anyhow. They charge way too much for brakes/plugs/water pumps/belts/other similar jobs. Half that stuff you can do yourself.

True! But.....take a real good look where your water pump is located. Slightly better than the starter location.....

My 07 water pump seeped the 5 years I owned it. Every couple months I would add a once or two of coolant. Had a new spare for just in case. My new to me 14's pump is OK, but I'm hanging on to that spare pump....just in case!

Dont blame you there. My 2015 had a slight seep when i traded it in with 47k on it. 26k on my 2018. Looks good so far.

    Welcome from NY.

What year is your Tundra? If it's a 2018 or 2019 don't level it until you do the TSS recalls.

You can still do the recall before level I had mine done after 7" lift even asked if it was going to be a problem. Then again it could be different depending on the dealership so mabe better safe than sorry

Yep, I've read on here some will do it, some won't do it unless you sign a waiver. Guess it depends on where you go.

I had my oil changed last week at dealer.
They ask if I wanted the recall work done on the follow behind cruse sensor . I had time so I said sure . Replace sensor also.
After a few minutes the service guy came back out and said they couldn't change sensor because I had installed an aftermarket front winch bumper .
    Who knows.
My sensor is fine and works so I didn't care.
