06D8E7A4-5189-46DE-83D0-9DB87EAD2623.jpg Hi all, as always when I buy a new car I find the best forum for it so here I am, new 19 Tundra and so far I’m very happy. I got rid of my 4Runner which was an amazing vehicle (especially in the last winter I had) and purchased a tundra. The 4Runner just didn’t have the get up and go I need day to day. I fought it as long as I could even though she was a beauty, but in the end I needed more power and more room.

I ordered some steps for it, going to do a little 3 inch mall lift, put some new wheels and ko2’s on next week, tint the fronts and then add a lineX liner. Then I’ll read all the threads and do some additional stuff based on your experiences. I’ve included a pic of the 4Runner, I’ll miss her because she wa a beast in the snow.

I went from a ‘99 4Runner to my 2015 Tundra. The 4Runner was a great vehicle, but I love the spaciousness of the interior and the power of the 5.7. You should add the BAM exhaust to your short list on mods and listen to the 5.7 sing.

Welcome to the forum. It’s an expensive place to hang out.

Thanks, I have been contemplating a proper coil over lift, it’s not too late since I haven't scheduled it yet. I just do very very little off roading, but I’m going to do some research based on your recommendation. I do want a good ride and don’t want any issues with the truck later. Thanks, much appreciated!!!

BTW my wife would love that 4runner! That’s exactly what she wants. Very nice!

Welcome! I’m lucky that the wife wanted a 4R so I’ve got both. If you think the 4R was a beast in the snow, wait until you drive the Tundra. Not sure how much snow you get but we get a decent amount here and I snowmobile so I spend a lot of time in the snow belts. I was going to put Duratracs on it but was so happy with the performance of the stock Michelin’s in the snow I ended up with Defender LTX M/S. I put 420lbs of tube sand over the rear axle and the truck is glued to the road. Stops great too.

I just traded my tundra for a 19 runner.

I found that the “get up and go” was just me driving aggressively. The runner has chilled me out.
I do miss the BA muffler on the tundy though.

Lol, yep you are correct. I had the choice of red, grey, silver or white. I chose the white. I’m going to set it up the same way as the 4Runner. Wheels, tires, bars, and tint all has been ordered. I’d post a pic, but she is just a plain Jane white limited right now, lol. I’m hoping to have it good to go by mid week next week.

I traded a 2014 white trail edition 4runner that looked exactly like yours (other than the wheels) for my 2016 Tundra TSS 4x4. I loved my 4runner and somewhat regret trading it away for the Tundra. I like my Tundra a lot too. Welcome.
