About to place an order for my headlight retrofit. The only thing I can't decide is exactly how I should have them look. I know for certain I want the LED and panamera shroud DRL. My question is if I should have them switchback or not. Then also if I want to keep the current Amber DRL or delete it from working.

Since I have the "raptor" amber leds, not not sure what would look best. Can you guys give me some feedback please.

This is the style I want:

This is what it looks like with the switchback:

Here is the way my current front end looks like:

I do like how the grill LEDs look with the factory Amber DRL. Will it still look as good with the LED bar and shroud? Or should I delete the factory amber DRL?

Sorry if I confused anyone, I think I'm confused myself. haha. Let me know what you think. Appreciate it!

Switchback and delete the factory amber DRL is my choice.

In doing that, the white LEDs will switchback to Amber and work as my blinker, correct? Any idea how hard it is to delete the factory DRL?

Yes switchbacks work by using amber only for the blinker. Requirement by law for turn signals.
Not sure on DRL delete. Search. I think someone posted on it.

I'd second the motion for DRL switch back with the delete of the factory amber. This is also something I've been considering, so definitely will be interested in your end results in steps along the way.

Yeah, I think that is what I'm leaning towards. Having the factory DRL AND the new white LED bar and shroud would just be too much.

I will be ordering my retros after the new year. I have a platinum so I have the led bar already. I have been thinking about this same issue. I'm not sure if it's an option to go the other way for platinums, but I am a fan of lights... the more the merrier. I think I will be running switch backs when I do mine, so that the led strip and turn signal will be lit up white for DRLs, then switchback to amber when the turn signals are flashing. Good luck on your decision!

When I ordered my headlights, Eledobleu didn't speak highly of the switchbacks and kinda talked me out of 'em. I've seen a few on the road and am not a big fan. One side is working while the other is a different color and functioning intermittently. It appeared to me like something was broken the first time I saw it. That's just me, you gotta get what makes you happy, of course. I did do the amber drl delete because it became redundant and was amber whereas the rest of my lighting is white. (except when the stock blinker is used) But, your "raptor" style lights change the equation. Since you've got the amber going, the switchbacks make sense and maybe the amber drl's too. Best of luck. I'm sure you're gonna love your new lights.

Well, when I'm designing stuff, I try to create the "double take". I don't want people to notice too quickly what I've done. But, when they do, I want 'em to turn around and look again. I don't know if that helps. I design and build high end houses, furniture and lighting. I've also designed the flat bed for a '55 Chevy show truck. The guy is my painter and has worked on several of my houses. So, he asked if I'd design the flat bed for his build.

Well, do one side switchback and one side w/o. That way you'll like at least one side, and it'll definitely be unique! Seriously, now I'm eager to see what your final decision will be.

With switchbacks do you have to splice into the factory wiring? Haha I don't feel confident it that shit and i think it would void some warranty I believe.
