    2011 Base Tundra 4x4 double
    Hi guys,

    New to the forum but I just bought a 2011 Double Cab and was curious about what modifications might be best based on others' experience. I apologize if this post belongs elsewhere; there is just a lot of information out there that is hard to deciphe . Here is some of what I am wanting on the truck. Any suggestions would be great!

    - Truck will not be taken off road
    -ProComp Nitro 3/1 lift OR TuffCountry 4" ??

    Wanting to run a 33" tire.
    -17 or 18 wheel?
    -I don't understand the offset and backspacing too well, but I would like the tires to sit a bit farther than the fenders. (Plan on installing flares)
    -No trimming or rubbing/scrubbing if I can help it.

    Welcome to the forum.

    33" tires will fit without any lift, especially if you're not going offroad. From what I understand, there are more tire choices for 17" wheels, and they're cheaper than 18" tires too. But you have to be selective about going with 17" wheels as some won't fit over the brake caliper.

    As for offset, larger positive numbers suck the tires in and larger negative numbers push the tires out. Most in here who go with aftermarket wheels say +20 to +25mm offset is the sweet spot to reduce trimming, but some certainly go down to zero or into the negatives. It just means more lift and/or more cutting is required. Good luck.

    I agree with Blacksheep. +20 and +25 offset is just enough of a wide stance to look aggressive with minimal trimming depending on the width of your tires. Most of the time the the only trimming you’ll have to do is remove the front mud flap for fitment especially just for 33’s
