Alright, ladies, Got a curious question and I don't feel like doing the work. Figure I would just take advantage of ya'lls obsessive love of answering people's questions. My current setup is Bilstein 5100s top setting at the front and nothing else. If I wanted to get just 1 more in. upfront and 1in. in the back, could I just install 1in. blocks up front and back to achieve this? Also, if yes, would stock UCAs still be good to go? At what point do those bad boys need upgrading? I look forward to any helpful, and unhelpful answers! Also, random truck pics always appreciated.

Maybe go with a totally different front coil setup and new rear leaf packs or Add a leaf with shackles?

IMG_4601.jpg I think you mean a 1 inch spacer on the front and I would say no if your Bilsteins are at max. You would be pushing the spec on your uca.. Yes on the back..

Awesome! So maybe I'll look at a whole new setup in the future. Would 6112s up front warrant new UCAs, idle nothing else probably just a good idea at that point huh? I have always been unclear in the difference of benefits of rear blocks vs shackles

How would bilstein leveled plus 1in. Be any different than a 3-1 ready lift on stock?

your right there wouldn't be, but you said your on the top setting. If you add a 1 inch spacer to that you might be pushing it.. But hey ! I'm sure other people have tried it. go for it !

In general spacers up front are frowned upon. It changes your suspension dynamics in a way that can cause damage to your front end. Shims are thinner spacers and can be used for small adjustments. Go for the 6112s. You'll love them. I don't think you'll need UCA's but I got them and love the steering feel. Block in the rear is ok if it's only one inch. If it fails it can be bad for your truck. Shackles are very secure and will actually improve the ride of your truck. Block will not.

On another note, be careful with the "one more inch". That's the way I started and I'm into this thing for like 10 grand already.

Bilstein's at the lowest setting are already about .7 inch higher than then a stock setting so keep that in mind... ask me how I know. Coachbuilder shackles would be good and I agree about their spacers. You'll get just about 3 inches with just +3 shackles and with a spacer that'll get ya there. Are you just going for like a 3x1 level but with an inch more in front and rear? My guess is that you're wanting 35's possibly? And that's a hard no on new UCA'S.... ask.me how I know lol.

Yeah I told myself I would just want to level when I got the truck. I did that, then decided I wanted bigger tires. Well today I did that now I'm thinking, just a little higher. Lol wouldn't mind a little more offset too, and smaller rims, but that would be a waste of new tires....I'm seeing the problem with this forum:help:

On my old 2014, I put Bilstein 5100 top setting and 2 shims on each side. For the rear, Coach +2's. Pretty level., Alignment caster was a little lacking but used factory UCA's. Thinking of 6112's with 2 shims and Coach +3 for the rear on my new truck.

I hear ya man. I began with a level and 275's then went 7 inches on 35 and now I'm 9 inches on 35x12.5r18 lol... and waiting on a new bumper being delivered money and new custom grille and other stuff.... this place sucks

Thatd be a nice set up man. I have a little rake but I'm still on the first notch with my 5100's need +3 in the rear if I go up any

I loved the look with 295 /70's. It rode decent to me. I've already got the +3's and shims from Coach, can't decide on front lift.
