So my AC has not been working since I bought the truck used. I took it into the shop finally and they found out I have an electrical issue. They have traced it back to the ac amplifier or the wire that comes out. The ac amplifier is like $600 so I looked on eBay and got one for $100. I am waiting to get it to test if that part is good or it’s the wire. Has anyone had a problem like this?

First i've heard of it. So your compressor is fine and your lines are charged and not leaking?

Yep they jumped a ground wire to pin 14 of aj3 connector and the ac compressor works and was blowing cold air. They need to see if the wire to the amp is bad or if the amp is the issue. I ordered an amp on eBay and should be here today so I will try that before I take it back to the shop on July 31st.

So got home and tried the ac amplifier that I got from eBay and that did not solve my issue. Looks like it’s a wiring issue so will have shop figure that out. Good thing is that the dude that sold me the amplifier also sold me the ac controls on the dash since mine was broken on the bezel.
