Thanks. Yeah, I’ve caught several species no one would suspect is that large in Colorado. I’ve caught a lot of monster pike from 40-45 inches in Colorado..finally caught a 30” walleye just north of my house..started repainting old lures, and then making my own lures several years ago and big fish, hit big lures!

Yep. Stagecoach, Spinney and Eleven mile for me. Our fisheries could be way better if they weren’t mismanaged so bad. The Yampa could be an unbelievable pike/smallie river.

I have never caught a musky in Colorado though.

No true Muskie here..just Tiger Muskie (which are harder to catch)...but totally agree.

Quincey had some beasts a while back that they stocked but haven’t seen one in years. I’m impressed by those Tigers. Those fish take dedication and patience. Well done.

Fishing is pretty much what I do (other than work, and my kids)..but I chase species and try to figure them out. I don’t use live/dead bait. So it’s just a lot of figuring out really. Colorado has bigger walleye than anything I’ve caught in Minnesota other than Mille Lacs..last October I saw 6 30 inchers boated. All released

Got my pops into some carp. I actually target carp on the fly rod and it’s a blast.

Exactly. You pretty much got to pick, if you want numbers...or chasing that one special beast. People get lucky all the time, but all my big fish have come on big lures (7-14 inches)..but you usually get skunked or catch 1 epic fish that day. But it’s the photo of a lifetime. All fish I’ve posted were released. I only eat Walleye and Pike (usually if the pike is gill hooked). Pike taste better but suck to clean.

This is a throw back on Lake of the Woods. I was jigging for walleye through the ice on 6 lb test.

That place is magic. I’m up on Gull Lake right now. Not gonna make it over to Mille Lacs, but hitting Alexander for Muskie tomorrow. On vacation with my family so fishing isn’t the priority this round
