DC vs CM

Why do so many buy the CW?? I use my truck. I had to have the 6.5 ft bed. with a toolbox I have about 5 foot of bed. my backseat's still big enough for 2 adults.
So why do so many of you buy a Crewmax?

 

Because I use my back seat a lot and don't use my bed much at all. I only use mine for towing. The DC has a very nice back seat, but the crewmax is on whole other planet when it comes to comfort.

 

For me, I haul humans around much more than things in the bed. I'd much rather them be comfortable every time than me be inconvenienced a few times a year by having a shorter bed. You're just using your truck differently than most of us probably. I think we could all use a few extra inches here and there.

 

I bought a crexmax because my wife was pregnant when I bought it. ALOT more room for car seat. Do I wish I could have a crewmax, 6.5' bed? YES.

 

because I asked my dog if he wanted a rear window that rolled all the way down.

 

I too love the back window that rolls down all the way. Use it everyday. It creates the perfect breeze in the cabin while remaining quite.

Car seats. It's like a limo back there, I love it.

I have a trailer I use when I need to haul anything too big, heavy, or rough for the bed. I would waste the bed space in a DC. I use the cab space daily in my CM.

 

I bought a dc and now regret not getting the crew. I feel the space in the back seat area is decent but nothing like a crew

 

Bought a DC about two years ago, mainly because my dealer couldn't find a used CM in my price range. With the bed space being only a plus at this point and not a necessity, my next Tundra will be a CM.

 

Got a CM because I got tired of feeling my kids' feet thru the backrest. They can't reach it now

 

Got a DC, love the bed space and no kids. That being said, more often than not I don't haul enough to fill up the bed and wife and I are thinking of adding to our family relatively soon.....so might have to think about getting a CM in the next two years!

 

After having clazzio leather put into mine then feeling my little ones feet hitting it...... I need a crew lol

 

Cuz the CM is cool period.

 

and if you have to haul stuff, CM has choices. .

If you've got kids that aren't in car seats, the 3rd gen DC's are plenty roomy. I also enjoy the bigger bed and have used it since making the switch. (Previous GMC Sierra was a crew).

 

but at the same time you cant reach back and smack them.

 

Its always amusing watching friends who have trucks get into the back seat of my CM and watching them in the rearview mirror as the look around and almost immediately say something along the lines of "this thing is fucking huge". I laugh and then roll down the rear window and you can almost smell the envy as they think "I wish my truck was this nice"

 

I love showing mine off...

 

I have 3 young kids and we are a pretty active family. CM is enough bed to carry bikes and sports equipment while still carrying a small cooler in the footwell of the back seat without anyone complaining about legroom. If I used the bed for hauling bigger things, the DC would be a better choice.

 

DC for me. I haul too much. Need the longer bed. I do like CMs though. If CM ever came out with a 6.5 ft bed, I'd probably trade up one last time.
