I had my 08 tundra detailed, they also washed the engine, now i cant get the ac to blow thru the vents. Like its stuck only blowing in the defrost mode or defrost/floor mode. Knob turns freely, doesnt make any abnormal sounds just wont switch, i hear in 07 Toyota went to electronic on the actuation, years earlier i guess there was a vacume line, at least thats what i was told ? Any help from anyone would definitely be appreciated thank you

Did you check to see if the switch shaft was actually turning, and it wasn't just the knob turning? Detailing might involve cleaning that could have damaged the knob.

Have no idea about 2nd Gen electrical, but if the switch is actually turning, then maybe there's a fuse blown from the engine washing.
