Ok I just purchased a 17 tundra crewmax TRD offroad in silver and it did not come with running boards. So I am looking for pics or chrome/black or whatever other variety of running board you might have on a silver tundra

These are the stealth boards installed by Toyota southeast. Somewhere I have a picture of an TRD off-road with the same ones (one I almost bought). I'll see if I can dig it up.

So are these steps factory toyota product or they just installed them? I'm torn because I'm not a huge fan of chrome but my wife and kids need steps to get I to the truck easier. I'd prefer the nfab nerf step kind, but with kids they would be alot less practical I'm afraid...

They are installed at the port by southeast Toyota. I actually bought them at the dealer and installed them myself because the dealer gave me a good price. They come in black as well. I was in the same position where I didn't necessarily want to add chrome, but I need steps for my girls. I decided that black wouldn't look right with all the chrome on the 1794 package.

What part of the world are you in? I bet there are 100 sets of nerf bars for sale right now. I have this set of black ones for sale $150 local NW Louisiana.

I'm in northern ontario canada, land of snow and salt in the winter... I kinda want to get a pair of non chrome ones because ultimately I plan on having whatever I get sprayed with linex bed coating so they last forever and look great

I'm also looking for a decently priced deer catcher or brush guard for the front. I live in deer country and it's cheaper to replace a bumper then all the rads and coolers in the grill

Just ordered a set of nfab podiums lol. I had a set of nfabs original nerf steps on my lifted 01 Silverado. I loved them, but found that the steps might have been abit small. These new podiums appear to have a much larger foot step for each door

Standard chrome oval Installed at the port, came with the truck. Disliked at first but now I like the step width, really helps getting in and out.

They are much harder to slip a toe or heel off off of and bust your arse on...LOL

Make good door stops in tight parking lots also.

Also the original nfab nerfs I had years ago on my Chevy, I had to drill and bolt thru the floor which I didnt like. So these new ones say no drilling, is this true?

Yes to no drilling and door dings... My truck is lifted 5" though... your mileage on door dings may vary.

If you like the Nfab stuff, they have the RKR step system. I have a set of those used without the step hoops fro ~$200 and I will be rolling through Houston on Sunday evening headed to Sheldon then Lake Jackson on Monday. Will maintain some of that ground clearance. The step hoops are $69 each which I do not have.
