    Guys,

I'm looking to get a nice used 4x4 v8 Tundra for $15k. I've been looking for awhile and keep coming back to this one -

What do you guys think? I love that it's a one owner vehicle that was Toyota serviced. Any tips or advise? I've been looking within 200 miles of the 45822 zip code (Midwest Ohio).

    Thanks,
    James

    Welcome!

The truck looks really nice - does not look too abused or beat up, so that is a good sign. Toyota service is also really good.
To me, the price seems fair or even a little low for the year/miles/condition.

The big items that might not be obvious or (devils advocate) things that the dealership may know/try to cover up.
    - Cam tower leak. Go to google and look up pictures. Short version - some trucks get a leak from a faulty fit in place gasket between the block and cam towers. Look into your wheel wells, at the engine, above the shock top - there is a line where you will see gray or black sealant. Black means (most likely) it has been replaced. Gray typically means it is still factory. On unlucky trucks, oil seeps out from that gasket. Most cases it is not a big deal but it can drip onto the exhaust and you get a burned oil smell. Or like in my case with my last truck, you find a huge puddle under your truck. Repair is invasive and expensive - involves either pulling the engine to fix it or tearing off the top half of the engine to get to the gaskets. Expensive repair to pay out of pocket for - 3k+
    - Air induction pump issue. I am not totally up on this, so hit up google again. As far as I understand it, it is an issue with an air pump (duh) of sorts and it will throw all sorts of codes and can put the truck into limp mode. Fix is a couple thousand.
    - Rust. Give the frame a solid look over and up under at the hangars for fenders, shocks, mounts, etc.

Good luck - it is a nice looking truck.
