Freakin Lake Elsinore, doesn't surprise me one bit! Sooo many tweakers there, especially on the Lake Land Village side where it's county. I graduated from Lake Elsinore High in 1983, and moved out of the area 1 month later when I turned 18. I still have family there, but can't stand when I have to go back to even visit. I am originally from H.B. in Orange County and when my grandparents moved there, my mom followed. Those 3 years of high school were the worst of my life, couldn't understand how we could move from such a wonderful place to a place like that. No offense to anyone who lives there, I just have bad memories of that town.

What is the GPS switch for?

 

I'd guess it's to disable the ecu from knowing the truck is in motion. So your "passenger" can use all the radio functions and you can wire in cameras to display whenever you want

Decided to turn my Thursday off into a five day weekend! So starting today figured I’d wash all the vehicles. Just so I didn’t feel guilty about taking Wednesday off. Trying to be productive here LOL.


The wife is out of town so she’ll be happy her car is clean when she gets back tomorrow.

Also I’m trying to teach the kid how to properly wash a vehicle. She’s really short so I had to help a lot. And since she’s driving our Sequoia she needs to learn how to take care of it. I just recently taught her how to check the oil and other fluids. I’m sure I’ll have to go over it again until she gets it down. Next is teaching her to change a flat tire.

 

So glad to see that you are teaching her all that! I was shocked how many people don't know how to do the simple things in a vehicle..... My dad taught me most of what I know and I appreciate that he did!

 

It’s difficult because she’s not too mechanically inclined, also doesn’t have much interest in it. It takes a lot of repetitiveness for her to remember this type of stuff. I’ve got to take it slow otherwise it’s just too much at once. She used to climb under the car with me when I would work on them, I would explain what things were and showed her how to change the oil. She lost interest real fast LOL. One day I think it will click and she will remember stuff that I showed her, when she’s older.

While I was at the dealership today cashing in on my last free oil change. I was walking around checking out the tundras on the showroom. One caught my eye because it had king shocks which was awesome to see instead of the usual spacer lift. Only bad thing was the 20k mark up. I wish I was joking about it but that’s how much they marked up the suspension alone.

 

Something really cool happened recently. Of course I don’t want my daughter to date but I have to accept it. I am her stepfather but we’re really close. She has dated a few boys in the past and most of them were idiots. I just found out the boy she’s dating is almost exactly like me! He’s really handy and he loves cars. He does the same weird quirky stuff that I do. So hopefully she will marry someone like me who will take care of her, and do this stuff so I don’t have too lmao.

Oh yeah I know plenty! It’s funny my wife told my daughter you’re dating your dad! He’s a lot like me when I was his age, and for once it’s a good thing. A lot of moral values.

They are into old Chevys. Which is fine because I like them too! They’ve got a 56 and a wagon. His dad is an old-school drag racer. I’m not trying to get too friendly with them yet LOL

I got my TRD Pro take offs from @TRDZ28 today and had the new top plates put on! Now I just need to find time to get them on the truck...
