Was curious if anyone was finally using these, and if you had any feedback. Did you go with remote reservoir? Adjusters?

I’ve had the same thoughts, since I run the Toytec/Radflos in front. Be nice to have the ones with clickers on the resis.

I have the Radflo 2.5, I went with the remote reservoirs. I installed them in January and haven’t had any issues.

I’ve only seen the Radflos run high speed once. At the Cinders in Sedona. They popped after exactly one run through the course. Maybe it was a fluke but it was less than 2 minutes. :notsure:

The problem is with clearance for the resi hose elbow. If you make a small cut to the top shock mount it should eliminate that problem, quick red line edit on Phantom Lord's picture. I recall reading similar issues on the forum before, so this may not be unique to Radflo.

Joon may have ideas of other weaknesses, but that is what we talked about when it happened.

I had the stock TRD off road before these so not much to compare to. I have stock leaf springs with Toytec shackles set at 1”. In my part of NC I mainly drive off road on narrow forest roads so nothing too high speed to really test them. I’ve loaded down the bed a bunch of times doing house projects and they handled that well.

When I was installing them I noticed that. At the current angle there was between 1/8-1/4” clearance. If I rotated them 15 degrees clockwise it was really close and could possibly hit if the top shock bushing compressed at all.

I've been driving around on these for the past couple months, previously I was on factory Bilstein 4600s that had about 117k miles on them. So, obviously I've noticed a vast improvement in ride quality. I haven't tested them off road yet, though I understand their intended use is higher speed vs more technical terrain. Mine do not have resi's. I'm a little discouraged to hear Joonbug's account of their durability. Was the breakage directly related to the resi elbow?

Yes, I was in the truck at the time. The elbow, from what we could discern, hit the bucket and broke. Radflow fixed it free of charge I believe. But UPS lost the shock/s, then found 'em..... Big, unfortunate ordeal.

Sounds like a mess. Good to hear Radflo made it right, but I'm sure everyone would feel better if it hadn't happened in the first place.

Am I right in saying these shocks are built and valved for high speed off-roading? And how fast is high speed exactly? :turtleride::burnrubber:

Edit: I've read some threads on here where I unintentionally waded into the deep end of the pool (I remember one recent one where dollar figures approaching $30k were tossed around to describe what LT costs). I'm in no circumstances to be entertaining such ideas.

I have no idea what they're valved for. For true high speed stuff (and just a better ride period) bypass shocks are the correct choice IMO.
As far as what high speed is, terrain dictates. Sometimes 40mph is screaming and sometimes 80mph is shy of being on the edge. But, that's just my view, I'm sure there are others.
I think 30K is not too unreasonable for LT with quality components and if a high end shop does all the work. Only makes sense to use the best components. Pretty sure I'll be well under 20K doing everything myself and shopping for deals.

I do have a full radflo setup and like it.

As other stated, my rear shock elbow broke due to clearance and we are assuming it happened during my high speed run.

All fixed and good to go....

Feel free to pm me if you wanna ask more questions
