Goodmorning, I have about 1300 mile on my 19 tundra and just noticed that my oil temperature gauge goes up more than half way on acceleration. It does go back down after the acceleration. Spoke to someone at the Toyota dealership and they said it was normal. I've never seen this. Normal?

Pressure increases with rpms. It’s normal.

No worries. It’s more of a dummy gauge. It’s just to monitor what the motors doing. It’ll move up and down with rpms and temperature. The main thing to take from this is if the needle is at one extreme (low, high) it could be a sign of a blockage or pump failure, or something as simple as a bad sending unit. If it’s bouncing a little below and above the middle, then you’re in range of normal.
