Tundra Clear Coat Fading/Advice?

    Have a 2009 Tundra, The clear coat on the hood is fading and looking dull. This is the only place on the truck this happening. Are their products which can be purchased to restore or protect from fading getting worse? Will the continue breakdown in the clear coat lead to peeling of the paint?
    Considering taking to a paint/body shop to get an estimate to repair. Have taken it to detailer and told me that he cannot do anything to restore the shine.
