Definitely had deteriorated in its quality. Wasn’t near what it was when we used to go there many years ago. It had great butchers, freshest produce and a bunch of other neat stuff. Also had a car auction and a livestock auction. Was definitely a neat place to go way back when.

 

I remember going there as a kid.(in the late 60's) My grandparents lived in Pottstown. I took my wife there about two years ago. I remember it full of amish and not one to be found last time there.

Yeah, my wife just buys her own gifts. I know nothing about what she wants. Except this year. July 3 is her birthday, Hawaii trip planned and she hasn’t a clue. Gonna be a big surprise!!!! Can’t wait!

Damn! Some showers and nasty winds just blew through here. Ran out and took the swing canopy down. Before I could get to the umbrella that was open on the pool deck, it blew inside out and the pole broke at the junction between the two pole pieces. Shit was flying all over the place. I have chairs on the pool deck that I keep tied off with enough slack to move them around a bit. Good thing they were tied down because they’d have been in the pool. A trash can was at my curb that had just gotten emptied and I got to that as it started blowing down the street. And that quick the winds died and it’s only showering a little bit now and it looks like it’s going to clear up.
