Beware of *********!

I placed two different orders and both were wrong. I made the first work by splicing the wires to make do however the second order was the complete wrong kit.

Mistakes happen however and I am aware of that but this is where the nightmare starts. From 5/24 which was my initial contact about a refund started I am yet as of today to be reimbursed my money. I’ve gotten “it’s processed on our end” to “waiting for your bank” to an actual refund receipt yet however still no money back to my credit card. The last communication was on 6/17.

I have never been so dissatisfied with a company. So not only am I out the $60 for the wrong order they sent but I’m also out the $12 return shipping to send it back.

Don’t make my mistake. Shop elsewhere!

Sorry to hear your bad luck with tt. I got a bad feeling from them and I'm glad I found James from Tech12volts. He's the best.

 

They offer plug and play.....too bad they can’t ship the right products when you order them.

 

Tacotones is a complete joke. I urge anyone to never order from them! Before I found this website, I ordered some of their speaker adapters. Sizing was based on their recommendation and it turned out to be the wrong size. I sent them back for a refund. They begrudgingly refunded about 1/3 of the actual cost. Never gave me any reason as to why they wouldn't refund the full purchase. I sent several emails that went unanswered. However, my previous emails (before the sale) all were answered quickly... So, once they get your money, you are SOL.

If you are considering their products, please ask here so we can direct you to reputable dealers.

With all the bad reviews they have here I am not understanding why they are getting people here to order from them.

 

its strange... I bought from them last year and I have been extremely happy with the system and its performance. maybe things have changed for them over the last year? maybe they are trying to get too big too fast and cant keep up with the customer service? I don't know...

I had red flags go up when on this forum the owner/manager started bashing his customer that IMO had a legit complaint about his order not being processed for over a week in the order that it was placed because he chose the cheap shipping option. Several people pointed out that shipping cost should not affect the speed of order fulfillment, Owner disagreed and said that orders that paid the higher shipping got moved to the head of the line.

 

Ordered their 1B kit for my 2018 crew cab.

Had many issues with amps having faults when they were played for more than a few minutes. Started with the sub amp and eventually went to the multi channel amp. In the end replaced most of the kit with better quality components.

I kept the subs and box and wiring adapters. Other than that all the rest was replaced.

The sub box is great quality. Super heavy and well built, covered in bed liner like coating.

Most everything looks to be made in China or other Asian countries. Even their social media accounts seem to brag about the country of origin.

 

@james@tech12volts equals cure to *********. There is zero reason anyone should ever need to go to ********* with James being an active participant of this forum. He runs an excellent business and Ive yet to see one negative comment.

I had bad from both here.
tech12volts never answered emails or pings.
People said he was busy but I have since had a system installed for weeks now.
He still hasn't replied.

 

mine either. Only problem I had was trying to get there amp tuner to work with my HU. Never could. I asked them to just send me one. Not a response. I just tuned by ear. Fortunately everything works fine.
