    Switzerland Trail is pretty easy. Stock Tundra no problem. For those of you that went, did you notice the "grade" never changed? Only lots of switch backs. Do you know why? It used be a narrow gauge railroad route used up to the early 1900's. Remember driving thru Gold Hill? Those old houses where folks were still living? Hard core folks.

    Many of the famous passes here in Colorado that wheeler's use were narrow gauge railroad routes used to get ore from the alpine mines down to the stamp mills to be processed into gold, silver, and other minerals like molybdenum.
