You know, the rubber strip along the bottom of the rear window where it meets the tailgate when closed. It vibrates as you drive and rubs the paint at the front top of the tailgate. Never did anything about it on my previous trucks, but this time I bought this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004VG8DS0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
3M clear protection film, 6" wide, along with a small squeegee. I'm going to put it on the outside top of the tailgate today to keep it from getting worse (starting to see scuffing on the paint). Just curious what others are using and if anyone else has used this stuff for this purpose.

I used a spray bottle with water and a little dish soap to get it put on, then squeegeed it in place. It was hot outside and it was rather hard to get the bubbles out and the soapy water kept evaporating before I could position it. 6" wide is too wide, I cut it down to 3". I'll redo it at some point, maybe try that clear bra material if it's not too hard to get down and bubbles removed. Well, I'm good with it for now even with a few bubbles; with my 4wheeling vacation coming up, I've been imagining all the dust that is going to be trapped against the paint, scratching it off.
