Looks like anti-freeze. I'm guessing water pump time.

Maybe. Have to trace it down, several other places where it could be leaking from to end in that spot.

Failing water pumps usually leave an excessive pink scaly trail underneath the pumps weep hole. Minor periodic leakage at weep hole is considered normal according to Toyota due to (solid) particles getting trapped between seal surfaces and purged by minor leakage as a normal process.

Check your coolant overflow. Could be radiate failure causing pink milkshake.

No, both radiator & overflow look good. I’m pretty sure it’ll be the water pump. I’ll know tomorrow.

Sorry to see that Paul. Fingers crossed it's a hose versus a water pump

Figure this out? How much coolant validates changing the pump? I have some crust in there, but no puddles and the coolant level when the truck is warm is only about 2 " below the full line.

Obvious leakage on the driveway or garage floor is a clue that you need to address the issue quickly. Prior to that, you probably will not even be aware of the pink crust. If Toyota says it's normal to have a pink crust under the weep hole, then that's saying you don't need to change the water pump...yet. But, I would start watching for puddles, and monitoring coolant level closely if I knew the crust was there.

Slight water pump leakage is an annoying inconvenience, but not a serious engine problem. The real problem is significant coolant loss without the owner's knowledge. How long that coolant loss takes depends on severity of the water pump leak. Once the water pump begins to leak, it can advance to significant coolant loss quickly. If the pump is not replaced, coolant loss can result in overheating and severe engine damage (recent thread here), so it's better to change a leaking water pump as soon as you know it's real, i.e. coolant on the ground that's clearly leaking from the water pump.

Mine wasn't even leaking that much and I changed it.

Yes, it sucks, but its worth it.

I'd have to search for it, but a member on this very site had the same issue (leaking less I believe) and he decided to risk it for the biscuit and take it on a road trip... destroyed his engine on the way back when the WP let go.

For a 2nd gen, the Aisin is $78 and roughly 5 hours of knuckle bleeding time. Cant be that much more for a 3rd gen. Shoot, maybe they untied the knots of hoses and its easier for you.

Yea I debating it is 100 bucks. I watched a video of one guy struggling in the tight space, but would it be easier to just pull the rad and wouldn't you just have a straight view of the pump?
