Good price. A nice set up but you're pretty limited in ride height.

I paid 1400 for a set that was new takeoffs and couldn't be happier. Great ride and enough height for me.

Spend $1000 on TRD suspension, or spend the extra $800 and get a 2.5 coilover in the front and 2.0 with reservoirs in the rear. Shocks that are completely rebuildable. You will get a better ride with the coilovers and if you get an UCA, you can get 3.25" of lift out of it.

Why spend $1000 on shocks that you can't rebuild (TRD, BOSS, Bilstein)? So you eventually just have replace it later and now over what it would of cost originally?

Well opinions are like as-holes right. So to each his own. Someone might not want to lift it another 3 inches.

Nobody said they had to lift it 3". Its adjustable from stock height (non TRD pro) to 3.25". It is just a matter of research. No need for the negativity here. By the way, welcome to the forums.

The TRD Pro can be rebuilt but pretty much only by Bilstein, that's what I've read at least. I don't know what you do with your truck while Bilstein has your shocks for a month though.

No negativity ^ it's a saying . Just pointing out that there's always a difference of opinion and not everybody has your opinion.

I picked them up this afternoon, they wouldn't discount them anymore but I got the TRD skid plate for an extra hundred. The truck was brand new these came off of, the dealership had the shop put on a 4 inch procomp lift is what I was told.

    Thanks

I've read that the TRD pro is a 2 inch lift, I'm assuming the rear would stock height? Anyone know? I don't want a rake and don't want the sand bagging look which I'm sure isn't the case. I mainly bought these for performance, I'm never going to lift it more than 2 inches anyways so that is why I didn't go kings or Icon, etc..

Knowledgeable guys on here have said there is no lift on the rear of the TRD Pro. I have never measured to compare and haven't read anything about the rear. When the Pro first came out I assumed it was a 2" lift all around.

With that being said, if there is no lift on the rear, I would think a set of CB shackles may be a decent option to give the rear a little lift if you want it.

Btw, awesome grab! The skid plate made it even sweeter!

When I had Bilstein 5100s on top setting (front only) I measured mine against a pro. They were exactly the same front and rear. Nice score BTW!

    Lucky!

What is the cost to rebuild?!
    Another set of BOSS? :duel:
I read somewhere that you have to ship it back to manufacturer and they rebuilt for you and it was expensive.

I remember at that time I figured that I just buy everything brand new again for little more.
