Oil pressure spikes when cold, falls to low when warm.

    Have seen a few similar posts on this symptom but none exactly the same. Just wanted to let anyone with similar symptoms know it’s the oil sender unit for me. 20 minutes and $60 part. Housing appeared failed so was also the source of my oil leak too I believe. I read somewhere this is a known tundra issue. Unit sits right next to oil filter.

    Yeah, mine is dead too. Gauge don't move at all. Just didn't want to pay so much for a mostly useless part. I say useless because the gauge doesn't give an accurate reading anyway and if the oil pressure ever drops to zero, the engine is already toast. 280k and still going strong...:thumbsup:
