    Dealership says The lower ball joint bolt stripped out and I have to pay for all this repair stuff

    anybody ever heard of bolts stripping out here???

    I have the exact same truck and have never had any issue like that. Your picture made me go outside and check mine. Tight as a tick on a hound on mine.

    Thanks for your help. I'm certain that these bolts don't do that by themselves.

    2.5” shocks, 3/1 level, 37s, 5.29s, air locker, on-board air, bed cap, bed stiffeners, roof rack, steps/sliders, spare carrier, under seat storage bins, window tint
    Those bolts are treated with red loctite from the factory and torqued to 221ft/lbs. I don't see how they could back out on their own, unless someone took them out and didn't reinstall them to those specs.

    I cannot comment on the spec and I am perplexed. When I have all the parts for repair I will post more photos and background.

    Black Sheep that may be the root cause here. Notice the drag mark on the inner rim. I believe that the bolt head caused this. Suspicious.

    No damage to the threads. No $3,000 repair bill. A $10 bolt is all.
    The bolt was likely not re-installed with loctite to torque spec.

    ooooouuuuuuuccccccchhhhhhh. thanks for sharing your horrible experience. hopefully others take note before they think about not reinstalling those bolts to factory spec.
