I've got a '19 Limited CM TRD with the JBL Entune, despise the head unit, XM and FM HD reception is horrible and phone integration just isn't.

I'm looking at potentially a Kenwood Excelon with nav and the full suite of Crutchfield harness adapters to hopefully just plug and play swap for the factory head unit.

It looks like the backup cam, steering wheel controls and even all the mini dash display will work as intended by taking this approach.

Anything I'm missing, any reasons not to do this?

I'm leaning to the Kenwood as a friend has one and I really like the way the EQ functions (I'm a sound engineer and EQ I'm very finicky with and can use as many bands of parametric as I have to work with, happily).

Starting with just the head unit for now as most of my pain is just the poor function of the factory, will see how it sounds with the factory speakers and amps before I do anything else.

The new headunit will make a pretty big difference in sound. I'd suggest getting an idatalink maestro RR for integration of steering wheel controls, backup cam, and obd2 options.
You will likely find yourself wanting to upgrade amp and speakers after the head unit, but like I said the kenwood will be a big improvement.
