Sorry to hear that Mike, I was hoping she would go home for the weekend. But on the good side, Home with a visiting nurse is better then rehab, at least she would be in a friendly environment at home.

They just have an entire culture built around it. I treat my customers poorly, they’ll go down the road to someone who won’t. We have to treat people right or we’re out of business.
Dealing with car sales, it’s just a matter of finding the one that will screw you the least.

That’s what completely sucks about it. You’re basically doing business as enemies. Neither side cares if the other is happy.
I would never knock someone trying to make a profit, but deceit shouldn’t be a part of that. I’m not the guy who’s going to beat you up on price too much, just be fair. The way they try to sneak more money in at the end pisses me off a ton. These assholes tried to triple my interest rate and justify it by giving me a $1500.00 rebate.

I fill out the survey on the very last day possible. I let the dealership know this when I take possession of the vehicle.
You want a five star? You better kiss my ass and treat me like god damned royalty or I'll slam you in the survey so bad that Toyota North America will call me asking what the problem was.

I agree completely. The shame is that they make more money in the extras and spiffs based on volume, financing, etc, and could really care less what the vehicle actually sells for, yet that's what you spend the bulk of the time negotiating.

At least the vehicle you'd spent weeks searching for didn't have its air bag stolen the day before you went to see it. I finally found the truck I wanted and set up an appointment to come see it and test drive and when I got there and saw it in the lot I immediately went to check it out just to look into it and see no steering wheel cover with the air bag missing. Apparently someone stole the air bags from about 60 vehicles on the lot. But they replaced it in time for when I came back to buy it

I would reach out to the sales manager. You bought a $60k+ suv. It’s not chump change. If your anything like me, your going to buy another one. I would tell him politely that they need to take care of this. Your not going back there. They can make the effort to come to you. Now if they won’t take care of it. I would complain to Toyota corporate. Believe me, start complaining enough they will take care of it.

Afternoon everyone. Stuck working late shift again but it should be my last one for a bit, got the interviews done and sent in for approval to hire from HR in Boston.

Morning shift with old dog walkers and stay at home moms is much better than the delinquent kids that hang around in the afternoon.

My salesman sat with me after I took delivery and went over the survey. He told me to read it and, if there was anything that I couldn’t give a 5 star rating for, let him know now and he'd have it taken care of before I drove away. I didn’t have any issues so I didn’t have the chance to test him on it. (Of course, the price could always be better!)
