Seeking advice for truck longevity

    Hey all! I bought my beast from my dad, who was the original owner, at 105K miles, he now has ~50 miles shy of 121K. He seems to be doing well, the transmission shifts well (maybe a little late some times, but no clunking or anything), the engine sounds good, no real major concerns from my end but I do have some work I would like to do... and I'm also open to suggestions. He endured 8 or so winters in New York, so the underside needs some love... which I'm hoping to at least start this weekend. Below I have a few things, my workflow of planned work, my log of completed work, and a metric ass-load of pictures. (all spoiler'd and titled for your viewing convenience)





    Well, I opted to link to my google photos albums for the May/October photos because there's a lot of them... if y'all would prefer I put them embedded in a post, let me know and I'll do that!

    Never flush automatic transmission. Just drain and fill. You only flush when you have it new and do it every 10,000 miles. For brakes i recommend ebc brakes they seem better quality than oem great stopping power.

    Sorry, that's my bad in documentation. I ended up having it drained and filled by the dealer due to a rather unfortunate run of events. I'll look into the EBC brakes! Thanks for the suggestion!

    Ok good drain and fill is the way to go. I have 96,000 on mine and when its cold seems like its revving alittle more or most of the time the very first shift or two no matter if i baby it or gun it it acts like a manual transmission and all of that is perfectly normal just to let you know. Oh for the brakes i got mine from from auto anything 35 bucks off came out to 235 with green stuff 6000 pads.
