Hey yall! I'm Josh, new here but not so new with this truck. I have a 2010 Tundra and I'm here because I'm looking to keep him running as long as possible! My dad bought the truck new in 2010, and I bought it from him when my last car became... worrisome... in June of last year (2018). He treated the truck decently, but doesnt do nearly as much preventative maintenance as I do (and as I said earlier, I'd like to keep this truck as long as possible). I'm not a Tundra fan boy (because no truck is perfect), but I do love this truck... because I grew up (sorta) in it. In case any of yall name your vehicles, I named it "Tucker" (props if you know where that's from) in 2010.

Edit: Should mention, I am an unconventional person when it comes to getting the job done. MacGyver'ing is my style, and my obsession with 3d printing only serves to fuel that.

Quick question...
Do you know if the Marines on the USS New York wear red baseball hats with the ships logo. The Navy guys wear the black version.

 

I couldnt personally tell you about them, as I haven't been stationed on ship yet... but from my experience it tends to be a Navy Surface Warfare community thing to wear ship logo'd hats (though apparently all Navy personnel assigned to a ship rate the ability to wear one). Also, I just searched MCO 1020.34H (current uniform regulations), and there isn't any mention of wearing a ship's ballcap in uniform. So i'd lean towards no. But again, take what I say there with a grain of salt! (mind you this is all in uniform, if not in uniform I wouldnt see why they couldnt/wouldnt)

I remember years ago I saw the same ship's hats and one was red and one was black and I was told the Marines wore the red ones. I wanted to get one of that ship.
