    First will be steps/sliders, I'm leaning toward RCI.
    Second will be a ham install. Going to take this opportunity to buy a new radio, considering the
    $346 Icom IC-2730A Dual Band VHF/UHF 50W Mobile Radio
    Icom IC-2730A. Still researching antenna mounting options.
    I'd like to swap out the tires, but that probably won't happen any time soon.

    I was reading that thread, I didn't get the one of a kind truck. The first dealership I went to that had one in stock was actually asking $16,500 over MSRP. I kept shopping and paid MSRP.

    Welcome. I'm an advocate of Icom radios. I'm a sailing captain, among other things, and prefer Icom radios over anything else I've encountered . Fixed mount or hand held doesn't matter, they're what I put on my boat.

    Was it hard for you to find?

    Here in SoCal I had a hard time finding one. I would call all local dealers weekly for the past 2 months and finally found one that landed in the dealer that day.

    IC-2730A? Do you have a setup in your truck?

    My local dealership wasn't going to be getting one in, but the sales manager was nice enough to print out a list of all of them in California that were either on the ground or in freight status. I started going down the list and got lucky with one that was 2 weeks out at a dealership about 90 miles from me.

    I have yet to see another one on the road. The only other one I've seen was in a dealership showroom.
