ight ppl. I have a 2011 tundra 4.6L v8 that I added a 6 inch lift and 35s on. Noticed a huge drop in power and performance so I regeared to 4.88 gears. Now I know I need to tune it to unleash the full potential. I’m not to informed with tunes and programmers but I don’t know whether to get the hyper tech inceptor or bring my truck to a shop or something to get a custom tune. And yes I know I should’ve got the 5.7

They have tunes for the 5.7. The 4.6 is a custom tune on the dyno but it’s like 5 hrs away :boom:

The 4.88 gears are doing a lot of work for ya. I’d be happy with it then. I have a bully dog tuner that rocks, but I think they are 5.7 only

I would of done the 5.29 because the 4.88 gets you back to stock but the added weight by the tires. Why spend the money to go to stock step it up to 5.29 and you really enjoy the truck lol. But you dont need a tuner for gears but it would help. I recommend bullydog bdx because i can change the tune on a fly and it is improvement for sure the shifting got alot better and the throttle response is crazy. When it was stock it was ok for a truck but now its super touchy which i like. I did try dap tune and for the money and conveniency i would go bullydog they felt about equal in terms of power.

The 4.6 comes with 4.10 stock. So he did gear up more comparatively than a 5.7 truck going to 4.88s. 5.29 would probably be too deep for 35s. Too bad more of a 5.0 ratio wasn’t available for this motor combo.

OP, I see dual exhausts in your picture. That is probably your problem
