Just starting my search for my first Tundra and I came across a certified White 2017 Limited 4x4 Crew Max with TRD Off-Road package with 14,353 Miles. Has one small dent and there are some scuffs inside on the plastic and has the folding bed cover. It drove pretty good and they're asking $38,195. I'll of course I'll start my offer off pretty low. This is just one of 7 I'm looking at, but this is the only certified one, the others are new.

Agree, really close to new prices. New usually has better financing too.
The certifieds are often close to new prices.

I was going to offer pretty low, but I think I'll just stick with new. Thanks

Way overpriced! That thing is worth at most 34k.

I’ll give you my experience from last weekend. 16’ Certified, 34k miles lease return. White, 1794 TRDOR 4x4 (not sure how much of that was standard for the MY so just listing it all). OTD $36.8 with added 6year 100k plat VSA warranty thing in that price. Traded in a 16’ taco trdor 4x2 that had been mildly desert run but still in decent shape with 32k miles and got $28k on paper for it.

The tundra had been on the lot for about a month and a half. Had some minor interior scuff marks which came out of the leather easily and if the tundra had ever been off road, the lease owner cleaned the under carriage meticulously because it’s spotless; but not for long.

I think the prices can be influenced pretty deeply by geography so take this all with a grain of salt and remember the new ones are sporting a 0% 60 month right now from Toyota (at least here in CA). I think the only caveat on that loan is no trd pros but I wasn’t interested in thouse enough to clarify.

Honestly if they hadn’t come down that last thousand, I’d have bought new for the free money.

Edit: BTW, my tax/lice etc was a bit under 10%

I was going to offer around $28k. The rate was 3.9% for 60 months, but I would've negotiated that down. It comes with 7year/100k warranty. Thanks for the info. I have about a month before I have to buy a truck.

That doesn’t sound bad to me if it’s good shape. I got 3.74 from a local credit union but have pretty good credit. It was almost not enough money for the loan so I actually couldn’t go much lower at that rate. =p

Best of luck with the shopping!

It sounds good to me I bought my 2013 limited in 2015 with 36k miles for $38,000. My last new one I paid over $50,000. In 2006 maybe I am paying too much but mine are always limited edition.

Get a new one at 0%. That's what I did. 60 months, 0%, amazing. Best deal in the country.

I know prices seem to be different depending on where you live. However, when I bought my previous 17 Sr5 TRD off road, sticker was $43,350 and I payed $38,500 out the door in April of 17. If it were me, I’d keep looking for a better deal.

If you don't mind me asking, what was the msrp and what was the cost out the door after taxes?

I'm still looking, just wanted some thoughts on it. I'm going to go the new route to get the 0% for 60 months.

Seems high for here in the Midwest anyway. 35k at most I would offer.
