    which wire do you tap in for the reverse wire coming out of a new aftermarket HU ?

    I just grounded one to the headunit and connected the purple wire to the purple on my maestro

    I went lazy. Since I tied the rear view camera into the reverse (power) wire at the rear taillight I just ran a wire with the video wire back to the head unit.

    not a bad idea.
    I also found the purple wire for the reverse on the passenger side kickboard.
