Last year my 08 tundra dash would light right up when it was damp or wet outside...spring and fall . The slip , vsc off, 4hi 4 low flash and abs lights would come on . When this would happen I couldn't put truck in 4x4.
My local dealership said it was my rear ABS harness. I replaced the harness which does both sensors and it seemed to work but it happened again the other day.
Today however I was leaving a parking lot with both my kids in the back and when I turned onto the highway I had zero pedal response. After jamming my foot on the pedal and shitting my pants it finally responded and I whip lashed the kids and went on my way. Couple ours later I took off from a light and my peddle wasn't responding and my slippery traction dash light turned on and truck thought I was slipping and went into traction control. After a few seconds my truck dash lit right up and I got whip lash again when the pedal decided to work .

Gonna call dealership today and throw a diagnostic test on it tonight.
Appreciate any information I can get.
I'm thinking of changing wheel sensor next. Or selling this truck. Seem to have alot of little wiring issues with it .

Welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear about your issues.
Did you buy the truck new and you are the original owner? Or was it a used vehicle purchase?
Have any mods been done on this truck that required connections to any parts of the electrical system?

I bought truck off my aunt who drove it to the dump and back. Only thing I added was an electronic brake controller which also caused me problems. The flashing lights and no 4x4 occured before I installed the brake controller.
Brake controller seems to work now. Had to run a new brake wire out of the 8 pin harness .

When they replaced the harness did they replace the sensors too? If they did, they should have done the flash, but might want to verify.

My brother's Sequoia had a problem with the ABS sensors in the rear when they get road grime in them the sensors do funny things. It is actually a common problems with the later 1st Gen and early 2nd Gen Sequoia. He cleaned his and they were fine for another 6-8 months. The components are not much different in our trucks.

I would suspect the sensors or their connections first. A bad/intermittent connection could explain the problem. You have a code reader I assume, from your first post. Wondering if you will get clarity from that.
Let us know what you find.

Sounds similar to a problem that just arose with my 2007 2WD SR5 TRD. VSC Off flashes, check engine illuminated, and the truck acts sluggish and won't accelerate past 50mph. I've researched that, the internet calls it Limp Mode. No clue what that could be except a failed electronic module of some kind.

A few years ago I had some weird indications and the truck just stalled. Figured dead battery, got a jump, it started and ran for about 3 miles before dying again. It was in fact a near-dead battey and the low voltage supplying some of the computer functions caused it to go haywire. I guess the good old days of jumping a dead battery then driving to Sears for a new one are gone.
