    Hey again y'all

So before I actually started pulling my engine I decided to take the truck for one more quick spin after changing LCAs, tie rods, ball joints, etc.

On my way out, she began to sputter and died in the middle of the street. Tried cranking it but she didnt want to start up again. Got it back home and turned the key on listened for the fuel pump priming but nothing.
I woke up this morning, checked the relay, sprayed some starter fluid and she started right up. Very weird...
After this I cleaned the MAF which was VERY DIRTY, replaced the PCV valve and took her out on a quick drive and it seems to be working like before.

However, when the key is switched on I still don't hear the fuel pump priming. Is this normal or is it a sign that the fuel pump might actually be going out? Or could it be compression related? As some quick background, my numbers were 200 to 215 on all cylinder except number 7 which is low at 165. Only thing worrying me is the fact that I don't hear the pump prime before starting the car and I've seen on other forums that it should be audible when flipping onto ON position.

    Thanks guys

In this one to learn as I’ve not had this problem before.

I must ask, does your pump make the priming noise every time you flip to the ON position?

I am not sure mine makes a sound to be honest, unless its the humming sound you describe as ‘priming’.

That is the sound haha, lasts apparently a couple seconds and gets quiet. However, mine doesn't make a sound.
