Hood Graphics - What are your thoughts?

I know to each is their own, but I thought about how a hood graphic would look on the Tundra and what everyone else thought. This is what I had in mind:

Anyone done this and have photos to share? That black on Silver would really make it pop.

 

Nice, Yeah I think it looks good on there and really flows with all the other black on it. Humm...

 

I like it. Thought about doing the same to mine but kind of loses it on the magnet metal color

 

I'm looking for it now online, but can only find a vinyl one on ebay. Hummm.. Basically just a sticker. My father in law works for a guy who puts racing stripes on mustangs and camaros. Maybe I should go that route.

 

Or could get a tint shop to handle it. Of course a friend of family might give you a better price and that's always a win!

If done tastefully, they can look really cool. I personally like mine as is. Big white hood makes the truck look that much bigger. Intimidates the competition

 

If I do anything, it will just be solid black, filling the spot in the hood.

Racing stripe could look cool. Replace "Ducati" with "Tundra".

 

I think the matte black looks good!

 

I saw someone on here with a black Punisher skull on their hood that looked sexy as hell and have considered stealing the idea (when I get my Tundra, that is).

 

anyone done this lately? would love to see on a MGM. flat black or carbon fiber might look good?

 

I'm getting it, I just haven't placed the order yet. Looking into some other options before I pull the trigger.

 

I normally don't like most decals but that looks clean and sharp

I just went with some plasti dip and filled in the center.

Nice, I thought about going that route. But then taping it off, cover the whole hood and glass from over spray just didn't sound fun. Not to mention getting it all even so one part wasn't lighter than the other. I just elected to get the vinyl decal, ha.

 

LoL - Thankfully overspray wasn't a terrible issue for me. A single row of newspaper around gave me enough coverage to avoid that. Wasn't very windy, but I can fully appreciate that concern lol.
I've dealt with it for other sections.

 

Yeah, I'll be doing my bumper ends soon. Not as worried about those sections, but right on top of the hood, probably better to play it safe, haha.

 

I have like 4 cans of black plasti dip in my garage and didn't even think of using, lol how did your corners come out,? Did you square them or curve? Looks Great

I went with a curve look to it. A lot of little pieces of tape to make it as curved as I could. Right up close, you can see that but from a normal stand back or obviously driving around it looks really good.
Just be sure to keep it wet before you pull back the tape!
