I have been pretty much a Ford owner since I first started driving. I do have a few Fords that I really liked, a 1951 Pickup that I installed a 1959 Lincoln engine in, it was very fast. When I lived in the Denver area I built a 1962 Fairlane with a 289, it was fast and got amazing fuel mileage. I was given a 1964 F100 by my stepdad, sold it and later bought a 1978 Bronco, installed a 429 in it and later when we moved here to Oregon traded it in on a used 1988 F350 with 7.3 diesel, had problems with tranny and engine and when they were fixed traded that for a 1989 F250 SC diesel, at just over 100,00 miles it got oil in the coolant and was having numerous other problems, we were thinking of getting a rebuilt engine for it but the more I thought of all the work and how much another diesel engine would cost, I started thinking of getting a newer pickup and in talking with my wife, she mentioned getting a Toyota because we were having such good results owning a used 2005 Sienna XLE Limited. I went on line to check out Toyota pickups and ran across a 2007 Tundra that was being sold at the same place in Grants Pass, Oregon that we got our Sienna from, since we were in the dealership for an oil change and some other work we took a test drive of that Tundra and were so impressed that we took it home, the 5.7 engine and 6 speed automatic tranny are a great combination, if I never get the GT Mustang I've had on my bucket list, don't think I'll be disappointed because the Tundra is basically my new, to me, hot rod. I ended up giving the F250 to Heritage for the Blind, it left the property on the back of a flatbed wrecker. I'll miss the 8' pickup bed but that's not really a big deal as I've got most of my home building projects done other than the solar backup array mounts and anything that I need for that can easily be hauled in our Tundra. Every time I drive the Tundra it puts a smile on my face. P.S. I forget to mention I also had a 91 Toyota pickup that used to belong to a good friend that had died, his son asked me what I wanted of his dad's stuff and since he took good care of the truck I wanted it, ended up giving it to our son when we got the Tundra.

John Chafee, I really like this dealership. I have a friend about a mile from here that his son works in the service department. All in all we've never been treated better by any other dealership over the years.

I spent a few years in the Tacoma area, McCord Air Force Base, from 1962 to 1965. In those days Tacoma was a very stinky town because of the Sulfide paper mill, anyone living in that area had a layer of mill scum covering their vehicles. I actually started my hot rodding days in a body shop in South Tacoma after getting off work from the Air Force.

I think he sold my dad his Avalon. It's the best dealership in town, I send my friends there when they need to buy a car.

If it hadn't been for my wife saying, "Let's see what Toyota has for pickups", I would probably tried to get a really nice 1993 GMC supercab 4X4 with a 454 engine and TH700 tranny.

    It was cheap.

    Welcome from SE PA!
Reputation and reliability were my main reasons for changing from Silverados to a Tundra. Resale value is nice also but it didn't have any real effect on my decision because i plan to keep this baby forever.

My previous vehicle before my Tundra was a Tacoma. This was by far the most reliable vehicle I've owned I expect no less from the Tundra. I got a tundra this time around for the extra interior space and power..

No start/stop or the half a engine running crud. That and not having to run premium gas

For me the Tundra DC is the best 6.5’ bed truck out there. I had an F-150 SuperCrew but hated the 5.5’ bed and my Ford dealer was awful. What a difference a foot in bed length can make, and the Tundra has the best cabin size for a double cab. Resale value and reliability FTW.:yay:

I’ve had several Toyota trucks and one car. I currently have a 2015 Tundra CM
Pro that is supercharged that I love.
Also have a 2002 Tacoma 4WD regular cab with 280,000 miles my daughter uses.
My dad has 3, newest being a 2018 TRD double cab Tacoma.
Needless to say we love Toyota trucks!

I purchased my '07 fully intending to lower it, and street-rodding it a bit.
So far - so good, and I am thoroughly enjoying the ride.

Pretty much this. I've always driven a truck and wanted something that can comfortably hold a family and last a good long time. No Regrets!
